To be honest the little comic above is how I have felt about jogging or running for most of my life.
In school we had to run or jog in PE class and I hated it. I know it is supposed to be good for you but then why did my shins hurt so much?
I have an old college friend that started jogging and has lost a lot of weight over the last year. I am sure she changed her eating habits as well, but she really seems to enjoy jogging.
Walking is something I really enjoy. I can walk for 3 miles and still feel pretty good. I used to walk about 3 miles a day when the weather was nice and I had a partner to walk with. I hope that jogging 3 miles won’t be too hard once I get my body in shape.
I have been searching the internet for sites on how to train for a 5K. I found one that I am going to start with. It is called, ” The Couch-to-5K Running program.” http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
It sounds easy enough. Now I just need to get started. My sister was just talking about this the other day. She thinks we should start training after Easter. I will let you know when we do start so you can follow along.
